3/10/09

2.3 MB

GIS libraries that allow you to display station information on ArcView-type GIS maps. Only required if no other MapWindow application is already installed (like BASINS). This is only required for WRDB 5.0.

WRDB 5.1

5.1.0.12

5/1/12

18.7 MB

WRDB 5.1 application, including sample data and all data provider libraries (see note below). It is identical to WRDB 5.0.0.81 as of 3/30/11 except that MapWindow GIS component has been replaced with DotSpatial component. Thus, the MapWindow GIS libraries (above) are not required, and the application can be installed without Administrator rights. However, .Net Framework 4.0 Client Profile must be present on the computer.

WRDB features an automatic update feature that will search this web site for newly posted versions. It is advisable to do this check (Help | Check for Updates) after first time installation and regularly afterwards (or activate auto-update).

All current and prior versions of WRDB 7.x can be found here.

All current and prior versions of WRDB 6.x can be found here.

All current and prior versions of WRDB 5.x can be found here.

Note: as of March 2010, all installers have been designed to allow installation by non-administrative users and will be installed on the root directory by default. Prior versions should to be uninstalled (using Administrator privileges) to avoid duplicate programs and shortcuts. The exception to this rule for WRDB 5.0 is the MapWindow components required by WRDB to show GIS maps which require Administrative rights to be installed (as will the .Net Framework, if not already present). For WRDB 5.1 and above only the .Net Framework 4.0 is required.

Note that the following providers have additional requirements:

Access:         Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC)—usually installed with operating system

Paradox:        Borland Database Engine (BDE)—installed with WRDB 4.x; can be installed from the WRDB 5.0 program directory by running BDE.exe installer

Oracle:          Oracle Database Access Components (ODAC)—available from www.Oracle.com (search for ‘ODAC download’)
